WITH USATF
Oregon Cross Country is an official
club in the Oregon Association of USATF. The club number
for OCC is 37-0930. Any athlete (ages 9-14: Bantam,
Midget or Youth) in the Oregon Association is eligible
to register as a member of OCC, (as long as he/she is
a member of USATF).
To become a member of USATF, go the the USATF-Oregon
website and click "Apply for membership
on-line".
If you already belong to a club and want to change your
affliation to OCC for the cross country season, you
must submit a written request to USATF Oregon. This
can be done via email, fax, or regular mail. The request
must be made by the parent and it needs to include the
athlete's name, date of birth, USATF membership number,
name of previous club, and name/number of OCC. Click
register for an easy on-line
form for changing club affiliation.
(After the cross country season has concluded, you can
change your team affiliation back by following the same
procedure).
COMPETITION RULES - IMPORTANT!
To compete for OCC you must not represent any
other club during the cross country season.
That means you must wear your OCC singlet during USATF
sanctioned meets. You must also sign-in as OCC at any
competition which requests you club name. Failure to
follow these rules may jeopardize your status as an
OCC athlete. |
